1. Summary

What-If Factory is a personal desktop tool. It runs on its owner's computer and works only with the owner's own accounts. It has no servers of its own, does not sell or share data, and does not collect data about other people.

2. Data the app uses from TikTok

When the owner connects their TikTok account through TikTok Login Kit, the app receives:

• Basic profile information (user.info.basic): display name and avatar, used only to show which account is connected.
• Access and refresh tokens: used only to upload the owner's own videos with the Content Posting API (video.upload, video.publish).
• Posting options returned by TikTok (for example, allowed privacy levels), used to fill in the upload form.

The app does not access followers, messages, comments, analytics or any other user's data.

3. Where data is stored

• Tokens are stored in a local file on the owner's computer and are sent only to TikTok's official API.
• Tokens are never displayed in full; the app shows at most the last four characters.
• Videos and their metadata stay on the owner's computer until the owner uploads them.

4. Sharing

Data is not sold, rented or shared with third parties. Video files are sent only to the platforms the owner chooses to publish on. Scripts and images may be generated with AI providers; no TikTok account data is sent to them.

5. This website

This website is static. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking.

6. Retention and deletion

Data is kept only while TikTok is connected. Disconnecting TikTok in the app deletes the stored tokens immediately. Access can also be revoked at any time in TikTok under Settings and privacy › Security › Apps and services permissions.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly process children's data.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
